Funding for the food bank facility is the final hurdle in making this opportunity a reality. Based on what we know, it will take between $600,000 and $650,000 to secure the facility and an additional $30,000 in equipment. Tax-deductible donations from individuals, organizations and/or private and public entities will play a major role in securing the building and opening its doors.

Again, please circulate this information throughout your community and consider one or more fundraising activities to stimulate interest. This is a valuable project to serve the needs of central South Dakota. Will you help hungry children and adults so that edible food is not thrown into the landfill?
